Permutation no. 403

$200.00

I found what I’m assuming is a student’s school journal in an antique shop in Saigon in 2019. I ran the text on the back of this piece through a translate app and the best I could tell was that this was some sort of teacher or student evaluation or perhaps a story or report about the person in the picture. It’s also possible it’s a note-passing book between two friends, as there seems to be at least two styles of handwriting. I’m really drawn to the photograph because of the lack of expression given by the subject. Other dates in the notebook are dated 1984. I think that the photo looks like a teenager, probably a high schooler. I really have no idea what life might have been like in Saigon in 1984.
